Prenatal, Pediatric, and Family Chiropractic

Prenatal, Pediatric, and Family Chiropractic

Dr. Kristen has used many techniques in practice but the ones that she has seen the best results and experienced herself has been TIC and Webster when she was pregnant. T.I.C. and Webster are very gentle techniques and very effective. Dr. Kristen received webster care through a high risk pregnancy with her daughter and credits it to keeping her calm and comfortable. T.I.C. is unique as you will be checked for subluxations seated and the adjustment is silent. Dr. Kristen has checked both of her children within the first 2 weeks of birth and has cared for thousands of people as little as a week old to as elderly as 92 so far in her career. She has taken many courses with the ICPA and has a lot of experience with natural birth, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. She strives to be there for every individual to give them the time they need and deserve.

Intersegmental Traction (IST)

Intersegmental Traction (IST)

Promoting Spinal Health at Our Chiropractor Office. Our specialized approach includes the use of intersegmental traction, a non-invasive and gentle therapy aimed at improving spinal mobility and relieving discomfort.

What is Intersegmental Traction?
Intersegmental traction involves the use of a specially designed table that gently stretches and mobilizes the spine. This therapy helps to:

1. Enhance Spinal Alignment: Intersegmental traction aids in restoring proper alignment of the vertebrae, reducing pressure on nerves and supporting overall spinal health.

2. Improve Circulation: The gentle stretching motion encourages improved blood flow to spinal tissues, aiding in the delivery of nutrients and removal of waste products.

3. Relieve Muscle Tension: As the spine is gently elongated, muscle tension and spasms are eased, promoting relaxation and alleviating discomfort.

4. Enhance Flexibility: By promoting spinal mobility, intersegmental traction can contribute to increased flexibility, range of motion, and reduced stiffness.

5. Support Healing: This therapy can be beneficial for those recovering from spinal injuries or surgeries, as it promotes healing by creating an optimal environment for tissue repair.

What to Expect:
During an intersegmental traction session, you'll lie comfortably on the traction table. As the table gently moves, rollers beneath the surface provide a soothing and rhythmic motion along the spine. This helps to target individual vertebrae, enhancing their mobility and promoting overall spinal health.

Benefits of Intersegmental Traction:
- Non-invasive and painless therapy
- Suitable for all ages
- Complements other chiropractic services
- May aid in relieving back pain, sciatica, and other spinal issues
- Promotes relaxation and stress relief
